WOMAN
Sometimes, I wish that I was born a boy.
because my father always limited the things that I do,
because I am a girl.
My parents told me that the only purpose
of a woman, is to do the chores.
But now that I'm growing up? I realized that they were wrong.
Why? Because they are simply wrong about that.
What my parents told me, is the way society sees a woman, even women themselves think about that.
Our society is just simply misogynistic. Men and women just have a prejudice towards women.
Many men think that the only purpose of women is to
carry and give birth, be stupid and devote themselves and serve them.
I find it funny that even my father thinks about that.
But they don't realize that those things are one of the strengths of a woman and the weakness of a man.
A woman can be as smart as a man.
A woman can be as brave as a man.
A woman can be as strong as a man.
A woman can be as sporty as a man.
Women can imitate things that many men can do.
But men? They can't even give birth to a child and endure menstrual cramps.
I am a teenage girl growing and blossoming as a beautiful and strong woman.
We all know that misogyny is still happening in the 21st century.
But I won't let that misogyny in our society dictate me.
If our society is dominated by men? Then we are going to be the women of ourselves.
